Welcome to EvisonArt. I have a life-long love of animals and art. I was constantly drawing at school and had my first commissions when I was 12-13 years old, drawing pet dogs. I managed to obtain a photo of my first pet portrait - a pencil drawing of a Border Collie, “Bojangles” (picture shown below) which I did when I was at Intermediate School.

Apart from 10 years living in London, I have resided in Auckland, New Zealand which is where I am based today. I had a cycling accident in 2024 which gave me pause to evaluate things in my life and I decided to transfer some of my excess energy from exercise into my art.

I am passionate about capturing the character of my subjects using high-quality pastels (soft pastels and pencils). When you choose to have a commission of your pet I am focused on delivering a picture that reflects your furry friend. I am open to drawing any animal (birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, horses, or even livestock or wildlife); each subject is a unique character.
